Classification of wood drying rooms(一）
Wood drying rooms are generally classified according to the following main features.
Follow the drying method. Divided into periodic drying room and continuous drying room. Periodic drying chamber starts drying after loading wood in the drying chamber at the same time, stops drying after meeting the process requirements, unloads wood, reloads a batch of new wood and then starts drying, such a cycle, the drying operation is periodic. The continuous drying chamber is shaped like a tunnel. Part of the wood that meets the process requirements is unloaded from one end of the chamber, and part of the wet wood is loaded from the other end of the chamber. The drying process does not stop when loading and unloading, so the drying operation is continuous.
Follow drying medium. It is divided into air drying room, superheated steam drying room, furnace gas drying room, etc. In the air drying chamber, a heater is used to heat the drying medium, that is, moist air. The heat carrier (heat source) of the heater is mainly steam, so the air drying room is also generally called a steam drying room. The drying medium in the superheated steam drying room is superheated steam, but usually, instead of passing the superheated steam directly into the drying room, the wood is heated with humid air to evaporate the moisture inside, and then the evaporated water vapor is heated to superheated state, and then sent back to the drying room to continue drying wood. The furnace gas drying chamber does not need a heater, and the heat-carrying object is hot furnace gas, which is mixed with air and directly enters the room, and at the same time acts as a drying medium.
