Precautions for drying and stacking sawn timber
Whether the sawn timber accumulation is reasonable or not directly affects the dry quality of the wood, and its importance cannot be ignored because the sawn timber accumulation operation is simple and heavy. There are some requirements for stacking operations as follows:
(1) In the pile of wood in the same drying room, the species and thickness of the wood should be the same, or several different but similar materials. The allowable deviation of wood thickness is 10% of the average thickness of wood, and the initial moisture content strives to be consistent.
(2) In the pile of materials, the height of the spacers of each layer shall be kept on a vertical line from top to bottom, and shall land on the supporting beams at the bottom of the pile of materials.
(3) The heights of several beams supporting the stack should be the same, so they should be on a horizontal plane.
(4) The thinner the wood, the higher the required dry quality, or the lower the required final moisture content, the more spacers should be configured.
As far as the thickness of the wood is concerned, the spacer spacing of 25mm thick plates should not exceed 0.5m; the spacer spacing of 50mm thick plates can be arranged according to 0.8-1.0m, and the spacer spacing of 50mm thick wood can be 1.0m.
(5) The two rows of spacers at the end of the pile should be flush with the end of the board to avoid end cracking. If the length of the wood is different, the short material should be placed in the middle, and the long material should be placed on both sides.
(6) In order to prevent warping of the upper layers of wood in the pile, after the pile is installed, a heavy object or a pressing device should be placed on the top of the pile. Between the two spacers. If there is no top pressure, the top 2-3 layers should be poor quality wood, or wood that requires low drying quality.
(7) Put the moisture content inspection board in a suitable position to accurately measure the moisture content of the wood during the drying process. At present, the automatic control system of moisture content meter and electric moisture content measurement method is mostly used in production. More than 3 moisture content measurement points should be arranged in the drying room, that is, more than 3 moisture content inspection boards should be selected, and the probes should be installed in advance. it is good. There is also a manual operation of taking out the moisture content inspection board through the inspection window. When stacking, a place for the inspection board should be reserved on the pile facing the inspection window.
(8) When drying the wool, if the thickness of the board is less than 40mm and the width is less than 50mm, the wool can be used as a spacer. If the size of the wool exceeds the above data, a spacer should be placed. Otherwise it will affect the drying quality of the board.
(9) In the natural circulation drying room, a series of vertical air passages in the material pile should be kept in a line from top to bottom, and horizontal air passages can be left if necessary.
